NASA has announced the crew members for its upcoming SpaceX Crew-10 mission, a groundbreaking endeavor that will propel four astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS) for a long-duration stay. The crew, comprising NASA astronauts Commander Anne McClain and Pilot Nichole Ayers, JAXA astronaut Mission Specialist Takuya Onishi, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Mission Specialist Kirill Peskov, is set to launch no earlier than February 2025.

This mission marks the 10th crew rotation with SpaceX to the ISS as part of NASA's Commercial Crew Program. During their time aboard the orbiting laboratory, the international crew will conduct a wide range of scientific investigations and technology demonstrations aimed at preparing humans for future missions and benefiting people on Earth.
Commander Anne McClain, a seasoned astronaut and colonel in the U.S. Army, will lead the crew on her second spaceflight. With a distinguished background in mechanical engineering and a wealth of experience in flight, McClain is well-equipped to helm the mission.
Pilot Nichole Ayers, a major in the U.S. Air Force and member of NASA's 2021 astronaut class, will join McClain on the mission. Ayers brings a strong foundation in mathematics and computational and applied mathematics, as well as extensive experience as an instructor pilot and mission commander.
Takuya Onishi, a veteran JAXA astronaut, will embark on his second trip to the ISS. With a background in aeronautics and astronautics, Onishi has played a crucial role in various space-related endeavors, including the robotic capture of the Cygnus spacecraft.
Rounding out the crew is Kirill Peskov, a Roscosmos cosmonaut and pilot with All Nippon Airways. This mission marks Peskov's first spaceflight, and he brings a unique blend of engineering expertise and experience in skydiving, zero-gravity training, scuba diving, and wilderness survival.
As the ISS continues to serve as a critical testbed for NASA's long-duration spaceflight endeavors, the SpaceX Crew-10 mission represents a significant milestone in the agency's pursuit of advancing scientific knowledge and expanding commercial opportunities in low Earth orbit. With the Artemis campaign underway, NASA is poised to return humans to the Moon and eventually send them to Mars, paving the way for a new era of space exploration.
